What a facial masque actually does for your skin!

Different masques do different things, but one thing they all have in common is they are an important step in giving a facial.

A good masque will not only improve the appearance of your skin but the health as well. Masques are not a recent beauty trend either. People have been treating their skin with a masque for centuries and they are an important element in cleaning and purifying the skin.

If your skin is dry and dehydrated, the masque should absorb and hydrate your skin. If your skin is oily and congested, the masque should draw out impurities. If your skin is red and inflamed, the masque should calm, nourish, and accelerate healing. If your skin is sensitive, the masque should soothe reactive skin. If your skin is showing signs of aging, the masque should tighten and tone it.

Not all masques dry and harden -- many absorb. Did you know that when a masque hardens, it causes your skin's blood vessels to expand, which improves the blood circulation to your skin's surface and leaves you with a more toned, glowing, fresh skin complexion?

During your facial, after I analyze what masque your skin needs to aid in repair, a blend is made from two of our twelve different botanical accelerators and the blend is massaged into the skin. According to OnlyYourx:
"each of these complexes contain plant extracts, vitamins, minerals, proteins and nature-identical ingredients that were selected according to the synergetic actions their active principles have at different levels of the skin. Custom Blending with these pharmaceutical-grade additives allows us to 'target' each of your individual skin 'conditions', going beyond off-the-shelf products that are only geared toward skin 'types.'"
Using a masque once a week at home helps your skin function at its optimal level! We want clean, clear skin! And I'm here to help by custom blending the best masque for your skin!
