Breakfast smoothie for healthy skin

A good protein breakfast has everything your body needs to build healthy lean muscles and repair the skin and hair. The skin cells recycle every 28 days meaning the skin sheds and new cells rebuild to protect your body.  The dead skin cells naturally fall off themselves after about 28 days but as we get older, the process slows down and this is why facials and good skin care help to speed up that process to smooth out the skin.

Beautiful glowing skin starts from the inside out. As you can see below, my client Abigail has gorgeous skin and she religiously eats healthy, exercises, and gets regular facials.
In my experience, eating a good high-protein breakfast will save you a trip to the fast food joint! Processed food doesn't give your body the proper nutrition it needs to have energy, alertness and to repair itself. These proteins and nutrients help you put your best foot forward in the workplace. If you're a stay at home mom, the same goes for you.

Love yourself and believe that you deserve to be the best you and it starts with healthy choices in the morning. We are all slowly aging but you have a choice to age gracefully!

Here is my favorite breakfast on the go!

  • One scoop of whey protein powder. My favorite protein powder is Gold Standard vanilla ice cream by Optimum Nutrition because it's low in carbs and fat
  • 5-8 frozen strawberries (frozen strawberries help give the shake that great smoothie consistency and are loaded in antioxidants).
  • 1 serving of 6 oz Chobani greek yogurt
  • 1 cup of 1% or 2% milk and blend in the blender. My favorite milk is Calorie Countdown 2% because it only has 3g of sugar per serving vs 11-13g for regular milk. You can usually find it at Walmart or Winn-Dixie.
  • If you have allergies to strawberries then you can mix and put whatever fruit you want in its place! Make your smoothie custom to what you like and enjoy it!

  1. This is a great reminder to eat correctly. I have been skipping breakfast (other than coffee), and that's so bad!
